Things to read: books!

I’m taking the day to focus on some fiction writing now that a fairly large freelance editing project I’ve been working on is winding down. I bought a new literary magazine yesterday and I’ve been eyeing it all morning. Cup of tea, lit mag, writing – perfect!

Stephen Fry goes offline to write

In keeping with my recent theme of improving my fiction writing discipline, I wanted to share this article I just found on the CBC’s website:

British writer and actor Stephen Fry, a popular Twitter user, says he’s cutting off his “connections with the outside world” in order to concentrate on the second instalment of his autobiography.

“I need peace, absolute peace, an empty diary and zero distraction,” said the popular author on his website.

I’m not as prolific a Twitter-er as he is, but I can relate. Time to close TweetDeck for a few hours!
